Day Trip from Casablanca to Rabat

On this journey, you’ll explore Rabat, the vibrant capital of Morocco, where you’ll uncover a rich array of historical landmarks, breathtaking views, and picturesque streets. The itinerary:

 

After a morning pick-up from your accommodations, we will drive from Casablanca to Rabat to dive into the rich history and cultural landmarks of Morocco’s capital city.

We will start our exploration of Rabat with a visit to the Hassan Tower, a partially completed minaret of a mosque that was intended to be one of the largest in the world, just near to it you will have the chance to enter the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, housing the king and his sons. 

We will continue our exploration with a visit to the Chella, the ancient Roman and medieval site that sits on the edge of Rabat, where you will learn about  the ruins of Roman temples and the remnants of an Islamic necropolis. 

After that our driver will drop you off at the nearest place to the Kasbah of the Udayas, a calm place perched above the river where you can enjoy the stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean.

Finally, at the end we will make a stop in Rabat’s Old City, where you can explore the souk, narrow streets, and vibrant markets. 

After a day filled with historical sites and cultural discoveries, take a leisurely drive back to Casablanca.
