Embark on a captivating 3-days private desert tour that takes you from Marrakech to Fez, with a breathtaking journey through Morocco’s diverse landscapes, including the Sahara Desert. This tour is designed to offer you a unique blend of culture, adventure, and natural beauty.
Highlights:
Your journey begins early in the morning with a drive from Marrakech to Boumalne Dades via the scenic Tizi n’Tichka Pass,visiting Ait Benhaddou, an ancient fortified village and UNESCO World Heritage site. Known for its iconic red mudbrick structures.
After leaving Ait Benhaddou, your next stop is Ouarzazate, where you will visit the iconic Taourirt Kasbah, one of the most well-preserved kasbahs in Morocco, then we will move for a visit to the movie Studios, one of the largest film studios in the world, this area has been the backdrop for many famous films.
After that we will continue along the scenic route through the Dades Valley stopping in Kelaat Mgouna, a town famous for its rose production.
By the end of this long captivating day, we will arrive in Boumalne Dades, where you will spend our night in a traditional Kasbah hotel.
After a hearty breakfast at your Kasbah hotel, we will drive towards Tinghir, a town surrounded by lush palm groves and dramatic mountain views. From here, you’ll head to the famous Todra Gorges, where you can take in the breathtaking views or enjoy a short walk through the gorge itself.
Leaving the Todra Gorges behind, you’ll continue through the desert region, passing through the towns of Erfoud and Rissani, which is known for its lively market and rich history.
reaching Merzouga by afternoon. Here, you’ll swap the vehicle for camels, embarking on a trek into the desert. The camel ride takes you deep into the sand dunes of Erg Chebbi where you will spend an overnight in a tent among the sand dunes.
After breakfast in Merzouga, you’ll drive to Fez visiting the middle atlas mountains. Along the way, you’ll stop in Azrou, a town famous for its cedar forests and Barbary Macaques, the way will take you through Ifran, known as the “Switzerland of Morocco” for its alpine architecture and cool climate.
Before reaching Fez we will make a stop in Imouzzer, a small provincial town nestled among the mountains.
After this relaxing stop in the Middle Atlas, you’ll continue your journey to Fez, Morocco’s ancient imperial city, where your tour will come to an end.
